Request Data
IAFC is committed to making Cook County child care data available for appropriate uses.
Available Data
We release data only in a form that respects the privacy of providers and families. Individual names or addresses will not be shared.
We offer aggregate Cook County data on:
- Child care programs and their characteristics, including program capacity, rates charged and ages served
- Types of care parents are searching for and problems they experience finding care
- The number of families and children using Illinois Child Care Assistance
- Census data
Commonly requested Cook County Child Care and Census data are available on our website free of charge.
How to Request Data
You can request Cook County data by emailing us at:
research@actforchildren.org
Include the following in your request:
- Your name
- Your organization (if applicable)
- Description of the data you are requesting
- Description of how the data will be used
- Time period of data requested (e.g. most recent data available or data from a certain year)
- Geographic area for the data requested (e.g. entire Cook County, City of Chicago, or certain Cook County municipalities, zip codes or Chicago Community Areas)
Illinois Action for Children reserves the right to deny any requests.
