Access Funds for CPR and First Aid Trainings

CPR and first aid training are vital skills for early childhood providers and educators. We offer funding opportunities to assist early childhood providers and educators pay for CPR and first aid training. Our assistance funds cover 100% of the cost, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent providers from obtaining these essential skills.

Funds are available for CPR and first aid trainings between July 1, 2023 – June 1, 2024. The final date to submit an application is June 3, 2024.

How To Apply

  1. Read the Application Guide.
  2. Complete the application.
  3. Submit your application along with the following documentation:
      • Proof of Gateways Registry membership
      • W-9 form
      • Proof of training
      • Proof of payment

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be employed by a licensed or licensed-exempt program that is actively providing child care
  • Must be a current member of the Gateways to Opportunity Registry
  • Must be employed by a program listed on the Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agency’s referral database
  • Must be employed by a program providing care in Cook County, Illinois
  • Must be employed by a program with no unpaid financial obligations to the CRR&R agency or the IDHS-DEC
  • Note: Priority is given to program caring for 50% or more children whose care is paid for by the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
