Our Pledge to Equity and Justice
At Illinois Action for Children (IAFC), we are committed to building a child care and early education system that fosters racial, gender, and economic equity and justice for all. Our principles guide our work:
- Supporting Children and Families: We prioritize the well-being of children and their families, respecting parent choice and advocating for equitable outcomes.
- Centering Family and Provider Experiences: Our approach revolves around creating a coordinated early childhood system that reflects the needs and perspectives of families and providers.
- Elevating Voices: We amplify the voices and experiences of parents and providers, ensuring their input shapes our advocacy efforts and policy initiatives.

All Children, All Families
A proactive and aggressive policy agenda to advance child care and early education in Illinois. The Sylvia Cotton Center for Research and Policy Innovation created the All
Children, All Families agenda to guide our pursuit of racial, gender, and economic equity for child care and early education programs throughout Illinois.
Right To Care Campaign
The Right To Care campaign is a group of early childhood advocates, non-profit organizations, child care and early education providers, school districts, parents, and others who have come together to fight for the well-being of Illinois’ youngest children.
