Carisa Hurley Davis

Carisa Hurley Davis, Vice President of Early Learning
Carisa Hurley Davis brings more than 35 years of experience in early childhood education to her role as Vice President of Early Learning—with additional expertise in program development, implementation, and assessment. Formerly with the Illinois State Board of Education, Carisa has worked to strengthen community-level early childhood education systems and served as a key policy leader for the state of Illinois. This included engaging a wide array of stakeholders, from nonprofit organizations, to foundations, to elected state and local officials. As a champion for young learners, she has worked to ensure that all children receive a high-quality education to promote lifelong learning and success.
Carisa holds a master’s degree in education through coursework at Erikson Institute and Loyola University, specializing in program administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in child and family services from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She is also an alumna of the Barbara Bowman Leadership Fellows Program at the Erikson Institute.
