Planning for the 2023 Partner Plan Act conference is already underway! This year, the CS3 team is reimagining the advisory committee’s role in the planning process. We are hope to share decision-making power among advisory committee members. In this bright, uplifting talk, Ajayi Jones shares three questions to ask yourself if you’re teetering on the edge of speaking up or quieting down – and encourages all of us to get a little more comfortable with being uncomfortable. 

Disability Visability Project 

The Disability Visibility Project is an online community dedicated to creating, sharing, and amplifying disability media and culture. The website contains a host of materials from oral histories recorded at StoryCorps to original content published from the perspective of disabled people,  a podcast and more. Disability touches the lives of many children and families, impacting their day-to-day experiences, but is often not explored from the perspective of those who have disabilities. The Disability Visibility Project  provides insight into what it means to have a disability, particularly in current times.

Dominating White Ways| October 26 – 27, 2022 
White supremacy ideology is perhaps the greatest barrier to achieving socio-political, economic, cultural, and ecological sustainability in the United States. It is critically important that community and institutional leaders grasp the widespread constancy of white supremacy ideology; their conditioned investment in the ideology and begin to imagine how to collaborate with others to dismantle it. The CS3 Team contracted with Chicago Regional Organizing for Anti-Racism to provide this 2-part workshop.
