Remembering Maria Whelan

When I first started in child care about 30 years ago, I was running an after school program. I will never forget attending a workshop at Carole Robertson Center. Maria said, “If you have a discipline problem, you have a programming problem.” Her wisdom set me on the right path to design and develop programs that benefit countless children for years to come. She spoke from the heart and had amazing wisdom. When she spoke, people listened. Her words and wisdom still resonate with me today.
