Head Start & Early Head Start
Illinois Action for Children is uniquely qualified to provide the prenatal care and support, infant and toddler development, preschool education, and kindergarten transitioning that are all hallmarks of quality Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
Our Head Start and Early Head Start programs build upon the innovative direct service early education programs that Illinois Action for Children is already engaged in – most notably, our Community Connections Preschool (link to Community Connections Preschool page) model. The Community Connections program links home-based child care providers with center-based Preschool for All classroom experiences for their 3- and 4-year-olds.
Our Early Head Start program is for parents of children birth to 3 years old and also offers enrollment opportunities for pregnant women.
