What We Champion
Our policy priorities are rooted in the belief that all children and their families, particularly those experiencing poverty, must have the supports needed to access quality early care and education experiences that lead to greater success in school and in life.
Who We Are
Illinois Action for Children’s Public Policy and Advocacy Team advocates on behalf of children and families around the following issues:
- Access, quality and affordability of child care for working families through adequate state and federal funding
- Building and supporting a high quality workforce
- Improving the child care licensing system
- Strengthening services to families through a community systems approach
Through grassroots organizing, policy and advocacy, and research, we advocate for policies that build strong families and powerful communities where children matter most.
Our Policy Agenda
We promote policies that support early care and education programs, and strengthen the early care and education system for all children and families.
