Strength & Resilience: Supporting Social-Emotional Development Symposium is an event organized by Illinois Action for Children’s (IAFC) Early Childhood Mental Health Program. The Symposium builds on the IAFCs history of working with child care providers—licensed center, license-exempt, and family friend, and neighbor—to foster the mental health and well-being of the children in their care.
The overarching theme of the Symposium stems from the fact that children have the resilience to overcome challenges, but they need additional resources, support without conditions, guidance, and understanding from parents, providers, and community members to shape their resilience in order to grow and succeed in school and in life.
Illinois Action for Children’s Social Emotional Symposium will engage child care providers, community stakeholders, and parents in a series of insightful and provocative discussions and workshops.
Registration will open mid-August. In the meantime, save the date! Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
