This year’s theme is Birth to Three: Advocating for our youngest among us.
Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into key legislative issues through just in-time policy-oriented workshops and visits to the state capitol:
- Participate in a wide range of policy workshops impacting children and families
- Receive resources and learn best-practices to enhance their work; and
- Provide feedback on specific statewide projects.
We know how important it is to network with advocates and legislators. With this in mind, we will have a Legislative Reception & Dinner during the first evening. The Legislative Reception & Dinner will give you a chance to dine with policymakers to express the importance of early child care policy. During the dinner our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Geoffrey Nagle, President of the Erikson Institute, will present on the developmental importance of a child’s first 1,100 days.
On the second day of the workshop, Early Childhood Advocacy Day, we will put your activism skills to work! In partnership with the Ounce of Prevention Fund and Latino Policy Forum, you will have a chance to learn about key early care and education priorities and educate legislators at the state capitol.
We are looking forward to seeing you at Spring Into Action 2020!
