This workshop will discuss signs symptoms, causes, prevention, and behaviors that increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), Sudden Unexplained Infant Death (SUID), and Safe Sleep habits. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) requires new applicants and assistants caring for newborns and infants to complete this training prior to licensure and every three years thereafter for the life of the license.
