A gift of stock entitles you to a tax deduction for the market value of the donated stock. Avoid capital gains tax by donating stock prior to sale. Illinois Action for Children benefits by selling the stock without paying taxes on the gain, and you make a more significant impact in the lives of Illinois’ children and families.
To ensure you receive appropriate credit and receipts for your gift, please provide us with the following information:
- Your Name
- Stock Name
- Date of Transfer
- Number of Shares

Designate Illinois Action for Children as the beneficiary of your company’s employee giving program or annual United Way campaign.
