On June 1, 2021, the Illinois General Assembly’s legislative session came to an end. While Illinois Action for Children is disappointed that overall state investments in early childhood were decreased, we are pleased to see federal investments made, particularly in the early childhood workforce. Additionally, we are excited about legislation passed this year to support the incumbent workforce in furthering their education and credentials.
